Iftar at the Sri Lanka High Commission

The Sri Lanka High Commission hosted an Iftar reception for the Sri Lankan Muslim community observing Ramadan, the Muslim Holy month.

The event began with the “breaking of the fast” followed by prayers and a traditional dinner with Sri Lankan cuisine.

Mr. Moulavi Thahir outlined the importance of the Holy month of Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, and Mr.Seyyad M Izzadeen, Secretary of the Sri Lanka Muslim Diaspora Initiative UK thanked the High Commission on behalf of the Muslim Community.
