Malagamuwa heroics stun Colombo racing fans

Dilantha Malagamuwa once again confirmed that he is the best super car driver that Sri Lanka has ever produced and stunned Colombo racing fans in the second edition of Colombo Night Races, held Colombo, on Saturday.

Driving a Lamborgini Gallardo GT3, Malagamuwa won the GT3/GT/4 event with considerable ease.  Malagamuwa made Sri Lanka proud by finishing the event with a lap ahead of others to confirm that he is still among the best motor racing drivers in the World.

Nine drivers took part in the Super Car event

Mujal Savla, won the much awaited VW Polo cars race event. Eleven riders entered the event, where first three places went to Indians. Rohitha Rajapaksa, the youngest son of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, placed 7th in the race.

Ned Daniel, driving a Yamaha YZF 450 cc, won the Motor Cycle group ‘SM’ event. The victory was not confirmed until the last second as Gayan Sandaruwan who came second gave Ned a very good attack. 13 players engaged in racing in this event

Shiran Samuel, riding a Yamaha TZ 125 cc, won the Motor Cycle group ‘R’ event as 15 riders entered the race. Shiran Samuel was leading from the first lap.
