A large gathering attended the three month memorial Dana ceremony at London Buddhist Vihara to honour and remember Dr. Daya Silva who passed away in January 2013. He was a long standing supporter of the London Buddhist Vihara. Sarath Randeniya traced Daya’s many acts of generosity. In an emotional speech Randenniya, a founder member of the Sri Lankan Golfing Society, spoke of his immense support for worthy causes. Apart from healing the sick, he was also a great supporter and a benefactor of the Sri Lanka Golfing Society(UK)of which he was a past captain.
The membership of the SLGS organised a fund to commemorate in memory of Dr Daya Silva. This money was presented to Ven. Bandula, who was the secretary of the RAHULA TRUST to educate a deserving a child in Sri Lanka.
